Jesus House provides services to the community in two program areas: Shelter Program and Community Services.
There is only one other shelter in the USA (located in Connecticut)
that provides similar services to the mentally ill. Jesus House receives referrals from other mental health agencies such as Griffin Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma County Crises Intervention Center as well as area hospitals. We also receive referrals from out of state; the farthest away has been South Dakota. The majority of food distributed by Jesus House is either provided by the Regional Food Bank or is otherwise donated from church groups, clubs, etc. All clothing, appliances and furniture are donated and distributed free of charge. Jesus House does not charge for any of its goods and services. |
