Jesus House is committed to providing compassionate service with an emphasis on biblical principles of stewardship and transparency. We are also committed to the following:
- We honor a donor’s intentions with regard to funds donated for a specified purpose.
- We exercise the highest level of integrity in all of our fund-raising and financial management practices.
- We adhere to principles of organizational and board governance which promote realistic accountability to those in authority.
We do not distribute cash directly to the homeless. All contributions received are used to conduct programs such as providing shelter, serving meals, distributing groceries, clothing and furniture and spreading the love of Christ with programs that work. Also, Jesus House never sells, rents or exchanges the names, addresses, email addresses or telephone numbers of our donors or volunteers. Any personal or confidential information provided by you will not be shared with anyone outside of Jesus House.
Jesus House is a member of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions also known as “AGRM”. AGRM exists to proclaim the passion of Jesus toward the hungry, homeless, abused, and addicted; and to accelerate quality and effectiveness in member missions. The AGRM was founded in 1913. Jesus House is one of only seven AGRM members in Oklahoma.
Jesus House has adopted AGRM’s Statement of Faith and the AGRM Code of Ethics. While the AGRM is not a regulatory enforcement agency, it does require that its members follow a code of ethics which pledges a commitment to conducting operations in a manner which is safe, lawful, and God-honoring. The AGRM Code of Ethics covers topics ranging from a commitment to compliance with applicable laws to exercising the highest level of integrity in all fund-raising and financial management practices.
In 2013, Jesus House earned accreditation from the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, also known as the “ECFA”. As an accredited ECFA member, Jesus House has proven that its financial operations are executed in accordance with the ECFA’s 7 Standards of Responsible Stewardship. As a member of ECFA, Jesus House has been recognized for its committment to governing excellence, meaningful financial oversight, transparency, integrity and responsible stewardship in the receiving, handling and using of charitable gifts.
